Our 2018 Romania season has been truly incredible and it has been a privilege to ride with all our participants. We look forward to seeing some of you next year and in the years to come.

Arrival to the Carpathian wilderness
Awaiting for The Big Adventure riders upon landing in Bucharest is a private transfer to transport them to the beauty of the Carpathian wilderness in central Romania. Witnessing spectacular views on the journey to a small quaint village near Brasov where they will sleep for the night. All to be heard are the evening church bells which alert the riders that tomorrow they are hitting the winding forest trails which surround them. Tonight though, the riders build on their adrenaline with a dose of liquid courage.
Time to ride the mountains
Engines are raring to go on the fleet of KTM Dirt Bikes ready for the descent into the unknown. Leading the group is our expert team who know the mountain trails inside and out and push riders through a variety of challenges. Fellow rider Simon Chamberlayne who rode with us in June 2018 had this to say - “I lived the dream with the guys in Romania. I have to say that The Big Adventure Co team leader made it for me. I cannot find a single fault with our trip from start to finish”.
Now riders have tested what their bike can do, they face technical steep hill climbs that will lead to the open landscape of the mountains. Taking in the views and a moment to rest for lunch, riders are rewarded with an incredible mouthwatering Romanian barbeque. We then continue our journey until the end of daylight on more challenging off-road trails. Owen Singleton who travelled with us in July 2018 said about his time on the trip “The TBAC team do a great job organising a good time for everyone. The guides are very skilled and match the route to the group's abilities so that the riding is neither too easy nor too hard. Our lunch stops were well planned and the food is excellent - especially the barbecue. I will definitely be joining one of their trips again.”
Two more days deep in the mountains, we explore routes to challenge the riders to give them a truly ‘Big Adventure’. For those who want an alternative route to stay in their comfort zone we make this accessible throughout the tour so they can ride at a comfortable speed.
Celebrating the riders victory
Once completing three full days of epic riding we head back to the capital city, Bucharest, for a night that ends ‘for some’ till the sun rises. We're sure many of the riders will say the Romanian nightlife is truly part of the adventure. Charlie Bitmead who travelled with us in September 2018 said “An epic holiday, the best thing I’ve ever done. Such a great bond in the group, met some incredible people whose paths would have never crossed had it not been for The Big Adventure Company & our love of motorbikes & adventure! We are coming back next year!”
